First, and most important, bring the energy that you know thrives in the Ladies loos on a night out: we’re sharing lip balm, complimenting outfits, and generally bringing the positive vibes. This is a celebration after all!
Sassy sign: now’s the chance to show everyone what you care about, how incredibly witty you are, and of course, your fabulous arty talents. The sign game was high last year – but we think you can top it. (But don’t worry, you won’t be turned away if you don’t have one!)
Righteous rage: although the day is about supporting and uplifting women, there’s plenty of worldwide injustices to be angry about.
Be it period poverty here on the island (and across the world); the way women are viewed and how it affects everyone in society (yep, feminism isn’t just for women, it’s for everyone); or any of the plethora of awful things still happening in societies across the world we all need to bring at least a smidge of outrage.
Instruments: what’s the point in coming along to make some noise about injustice, if you can’t actually make some noise about injustice?
Waterproofs: it’s January on the Isle of Man, and we all know that means it could be snowing, tipping down, glorious sunshine, or anywhere in between. Don’t let that get in the way!
20 to 30 of your closest pals: bring your partners, bring your friends, bring your family, bring some people you met on the way. You definitely wouldn’t want them to miss out, right?
Camera: were you even there if you don’t have a selfie with the Women of Mann banner? We love to see your photos, so please share them to the page after the event!
And lastly, a small donation if you have one to spare: we’ll be fundraising for Days for Girls at the march and speaker event afterwards.
If you do want to come along let us know via the Facebook event! Tickets for the speaker event after the march are available via Eventbrite.
See you there!
