Business Development @IsleofMedia
Angel Hunter @NorthInvest
I started out my working life as a further education lecturer in the UK, moving to the Island in my mid-twenties.
I was given an opportunity to enter the tech industry about 4 years ago and now work as an analyst in the space industry!
I also work with not-for-profit companies, Isle of Media being one which is a public, private partnership to drive inward investment in Digital Media, and NorthInvest working across the Northern Powerhouse, connecting ventures to mentors and investors with the aim to promote equitable investment in the North of the UK.
4. Out of work interests
My alter ego is the lead singer of a band, and I’ve performed at the Isle of Man Blues Festival!
5. Notable work and/or life achievements
Work: Transforming from classroom teacher to corporate strategist.
Life: I was once a body double for the lead female in a film starring Kit Harrington, AKA Jon Snow from Game of Thrones fame.
6. Why did you want to be involved with 30 Under 30?!
So, it turns out I’m not under 30 so I can’t actually enter! In all seriousness…I’m really excited be part of the 30 Under 30 judging panel, rolling out the red carpet for the brightest young game-changers on Isle of Man today.
7. What are you looking out for in nominees?
CBA – Curiousity, bravery and authenticity…and being under 30 will go massively in their favour.
Nominations are now open for the Island’s first 30 Under 30 initiative. To find out more about the campaign and how you can nominate somebody remarkable under the age of 30, head over here.
Be sure to give the 30 Under 30 Facebook Page a like to be kept up to date.
